6 Cylinder, automatic. SOLD $5,500
We got the MGTD back Sunday night; it is now running but I have not driven it.
I will try to get more pictures and get them added to the site within the next day or two.
The engine wouldn't turn over so we had a set of rings installed and the cylinders honed, replaced the head gasket, etc. It may still need some additional work but the bottom end looked good, the valves looked ok, etc. It is 58 years old and will undoubtedly need some additonal work but it seems to be a very solid original unmolested car.
This color, by the way, is called "Cream and Crackers," and is the official color of Morris Garages. This may be original paint. It sure looks like it.
The car is very solid overall and has had a lot of fairly recent work, new exhaust, transmission work, and expensive winter top, etc.
It had been parked since 1997 as near as we know. SOLD $10,500
1925 Hupmobile Touring -- It now has fenders, whitewall tires, a new battery, headlights, etc. It starts and runs unbelieveably well!! This is a wonderful car that has a lot of potential. We have the rear seat windshield and the top bows as well as a few extra parts. SOLD $9,500
Nice old Studebaker Transtar pickup. It would run easily but we are not going to start it as it is not driveable as it. There is a problem with the left rear axle that needs to be fixed first. It is solid with very little rust and as you can see from the serial number plate, a very low production pickup. This came out of Spokane about 20 years ago and has not run or been moved since.
SOLD $850
Corvair Engine--WE HAVE A BIG BOX OF TIN SHIELDING AND PARTS THAT GO WITH THIS.
This is the Bantam engine "In the Crate." We regret that we may have implied that it is new old stock. It is not. It was purchased at the Harrah's auction in Reno in the 70's or 80;s. The "Crate" is a plywood box. It has never been out of the box since Joe bought it but it is NOT a new old stock engine.
Austin engine converted for use in Bantam
Hupmobile engine
We also found a little 6 cylinder engine that we think must be for a Studebaker Champ.
